Meet Our Experts

Mike Cobb – Director of Engineering

Mike manages the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department including the physical and logical recoveries of rotational media, SSDs, smart devices and flash media. He also oversees the R&D efforts for past, present and future storage technologies. Since joining DriveSavers in 1994, Mike has worked on all aspects of engineering as well as heading the Customer Service Department for several years.

Michael Hall – Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Michael Hall is in in charge of High Security Programs. He develops security protocols to handle critical and encrypted data for corporations and government agencies, including the development of the company’s Master System Security Plan, compliant with the DSS NISPOM. With over 22 years experience in data recovery technology, focusing on high-end arrays, Michael has successfully recovered data from over 17,000 storage devices. Through his previous IT experience in the Navy, serving on the USS Carl Vinson CVN70, and his current industry expertise, he has a full comprehension of government and industry working together to help secure mission critical data.
