Bob Dietz, Desktop Support Analyst – DriveSavers Uses Soldering Skills for Data Recovery

Bob, a Desktop Support Analyst, from Colorado had a complex recovery. DriveSavers engineers recovered all the data off a drive that was soldered to the motherboard.

Hi. My name is Bob Dietz. I live and work in Loveland, Colorado. I have 12 years of desktop support and troubleshooting, server support, phone system support, stuff like that for that 20 years of electronic troubleshooting and repair. So the device in question had a massive power failure. So basically, it just stopped working one day, wouldn’t power on, wouldn’t function at all.

DriveSavers saved my unbacked-up data. They had a bunch of presentations and various other important documents. DriveSavers was able to quickly get us a shipping label. We shipped out the motherboard because the unit in question had an encrypted hard drive and the hard drive was integrated into the motherboard, which made it pretty difficult for us to even figure out how to save it. But they were able to remove the hard drive, recover data, as well as do it in a timely manner. They took a couple of days to evaluate.

DriveSavers are very technically adept. They were able to remove a hard drive that was basically just a chip on the motherboard, unencrypt it, and recover all the data in a timely manner. Pretty incredible! I know how difficult that is. They must be well qualified for most repairs.

If you really need your data, I would highly recommend DriveSavers for data recovery, for any important stuff. If anything is lost and there’s no way to get it back, these are guys for it.

DriveSavers. We can save it!
