DriveSavers offers a range of turnaround times to best suit your needs for getting your recovered data back to you in a timely and economical manner.

In certain situations, DriveSavers provides unparalleled remote data recovery service for data loss situations that do not involve mechanical or physical damage. It is an ideal recovery option for RAID, NAS, and SAN systems, hardware too large to ship (i.e. large servers), and highly sensitive data that needs to stay on-premises.

All data recoveries are performed in accordance with standards set by leading hard drive and data storage manufacturers. Many leading manufacturers authorise DriveSavers to open sealed drive mechanisms, and our data recovery process will not void their original warranty.

The recovered data is transferred onto a new storage device and shipped back to you along with the original device via courier. Your package will include easy-to-follow instructions and links to support videos on how to review and back up your recovered data.

Your data is never compromised. An exact copy of the original data on the source drive is made, and all recovery attempts are performed on the copy.

Cost

The final cost is determined by the success and completeness of the recovery and the selected turnaround time. A successful recovery generally falls in the top half of the original quote range. We will never exceed the price that we initially quoted.

Every data loss scenario is different. Until the device has been examined by our Data Recovery Engineers, the severity and complexity of the data loss can’t be determined. After the free evaluation of your device, you will be provided with a more accurate price range. However, the maximum final price will never exceed the maximum price that you were first quoted.

The final cost of the recovery is determined by the complexity and completeness of the recovery, based on the complexity of the mechanical and/or logical issues, the quality of the recovered data, the quality of file names, and data structure. The final cost will never exceed the initial quote you received when you first called DriveSavers. We call that our maximum price gap guarantee.

The work involved in recovering files from data storage devices is very complex. Whether you need one file or all files, the effort is the same for the engineers, and we always attempt to recover all data on the device.

Payment is collected when the recovery is complete, before shipping your data back to you. You do not need to provide payment to start the data recovery process.

DriveSavers accepts all major credit cards and bank wire transfers. Purchase orders and NET terms can be provided for companies and government institutions on request and subject to approval.
We also offer PayPal Credit payment plan options.

Once we receive your device at our data recovery services facility, our skilled DriveSavers Data Recovery Engineers will thoroughly examine the equipment to determine its condition and the recoverability of the contents at no cost to you.

No Data, No Charge!

If, by chance, your data is deemed unrecoverable by our data recovery engineers, there is no charge for our recovery attempt or data recovery services, and we’ll ship your device back to you at no cost.

Some devices have logical issues (corruption, software errors, deletion) or physical issues (head crash) where data is destroyed beyond recovery.

We will calculate the final cost of the data recovery based on the complexity and completeness of the recovery. It is our goal to get everything as it was before the data loss. If the files or documents you requested are not fully recovered, we will adjust the cost accordingly.

In the unlikely event that your data is not recoverable, there is NO charge for our data recovery attempt, and we even ship your device back to you for free!

In most cases, we can restore the original folder structure of the device, but in cases where there is damage to the directory, we will return the data in a custom file structure.

Payment Plans

We accept all major credit cards and bank wire transfers. Business cheques and Net 30 Purchase Orders are an option with the approval of the DriveSavers accounting department. We also offer a payment plan through PayPal Credit, a digital reusable credit line.

To safely ship your device to DriveSavers, follow these five steps:

  1. Put your device in an antistatic bag or ziplock bag and seal it.
  2. Wrap your device with an adequate amount of bubble wrap, about 2-5 inches for most devices. (Do not use packing peanuts or other lightweight packing. These tend to shift during shipping and can increase the chance of damage.)
  3. Seal the sides of the bubble wrap with strong tape.
  4. Put your device into a sturdy cardboard box and ensure it’s tightly packed. Your device should not be able to move around during shipment.
  5. Securely apply tape to seal the box and place the prepaid overnight shipping label you received with your service order confirmation on the top of the box.

You may ship your device to us using any mailing/shipping service. We suggest you use a service with tracking. We offer free prepaid overnight shipping on request.

Yes, we ship the device back to you unless you have asked us to recycle it for you.

Miscellaneous

Any information you can provide about the data you need to be recovered will help us to know what is most critical to you to ensure a successful recovery. However, we will attempt to recover all the data on the device.

No, and yes — if the device is malfunctioning, we may repair it using parts from our inventory to get it functioning long enough to get the data off. After the repair, the used part is then returned to the inventory.

If the repair involves soldering, the device might seem to function when you receive it back. We don’t repair devices for reuse. At times, though, devices are returned in a semi-functional manner.
