Press Release: National Press Photographers Association Adds DriveSavers Data Recovery Services To Members Benefits

Data recovery services provide safety net for over 9,000 NPPA photojournalists

Novato, CA – September 30, 2008 – National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) today announces its partnership with DriveSavers to add data recovery services to their member benefits. In the event that digital photos and other critical computer data are lost, NPPA members now have the opportunity to work with DriveSavers to restore any lost images. Through this partnership, NPPA members will receive a discount on DriveSavers data recovery services. If the data cannot be recovered, members will not be charged a recovery fee.

“We are thrilled to include DriveSavers data recovery services to our member benefits,” said Bob Carey, president of the NPPA. “The data that we work with on a daily basis is priceless and irreplaceable. If something should go wrong, our members now have the opportunity to turn to the expert engineers at DriveSavers to save precious photographs and other important data: such as, client contact lists, emails, financial records and more.”

“We were the first company to successfully recover digital camera data and the first company chosen for referral by Canon, Kodak, Nikon, Olympus and Sony,” said Scott Gaidano, president of DriveSavers Data Recovery. “We have been restoring data from hard drives, digital cameras, iPods, iPhones and other storage devices for over twenty years. It is our pleasure to be working with NPPA and their members and be their digital safety net in the event their storage device of choice fails.”

Members of the NPPA can visit the “Special Offers” page at www.nppa.org and log in to the member account to access an exclusive DriveSavers ID number.
