Kenmerken van het Nimble-systeem zijn onder meer datareductie en deduplicatie, thin provisioning en LUN-snapshots, die meerdere abstractielagen cre\u00ebren tussen de schijven en de gebruikersgegevens. Deze eigenschappen zorgen tevens voor een complex datahersteltraject.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Deze unieke array bestond uit 16 x 1,8 TB-schijven die gebruikmaakten van Nimbles eigen Triple+ <a href=\"\/nl-nl\/data-recovery-services\/devices-supported\/raid-nas-san\/raid-data-recovery\/\" target=\"_self\">RAID<\/a>-algoritme. Het systeem bevatte meerdere LUN\u2019s die werden gepresenteerd aan <a href=\"\/nl-nl\/data-recovery-services\/devices-supported\/vmware\/\" target=\"_self\">VMware<\/a> ESX-hosts waarop talrijke virtuele machines draaiden, voornamelijk Windows-systemen met NTFS-geformatteerde virtuele schijven. Het team hanteerde een geavanceerde aanpak, voerde logische herstelwerkzaamheden uit en ontwikkelde geavanceerde tools om toegang te krijgen tot de verloren datastructuren en deze te extraheren.<\/p>\n<p>Zoals gebruikelijk bij het herstellen van verwijderde gegevens werd een kleine hoeveelheid overschreven data vastgesteld, wat leidde tot structurele schade die zich door de vele lagen van de dataopslagstack verspreidde.
