Je hebt nog steeds behoefte aan schijven met snelle lees- en schrijfsnelheden en voldoende opslagruimte, maar de kosten zijn enorm! Afhankelijk van je behoeften zou RAID 5 wel eens het antwoord kunnen zijn. Maar wat zijn de vereisten voor RAID 5?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wat is een RAID?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Opslagoplossingen met een Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) zijn een uitstekende manier om de prestaties van meerdere harde schijven te maximaliseren. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drivesaversdatarecovery.com\/nl-nl\/raid-comparison\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Zoals eerder besproken<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, benutten RAID-configuraties de kracht van software <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">en<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> hardware, zodat meerdere schijven samenwerken. Het resultaat is een betaalbaar en krachtig dataopslagsysteem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verschillende RAID-configuraties hebben elk hun eigen voordelen, nadelen en vereisten. Vandaag gaan we RAID 5 bekijken, omdat het een populaire en relatief eenvoudig te implementeren optie is. De RAID 5-configuratie levert razendsnelle leessnelheden op, en mocht er een schijf falen, dan is gegevensherstel mogelijk. Dit komt doordat de gegevens worden opgesplitst in kleine stukjes en verdeeld over de aangesloten schijven. Deze methode wordt pariteit genoemd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Natuurlijk zijn er een paar dingen die je moet weten voordat je je harde schijven in een RAID 5-configuratie zet. Elke array heeft specifieke voorwaarden om goed te functioneren, en RAID 5 is daarop geen uitzondering. Dus, wat moet je weten voordat je een RAID 5-configuratie instelt?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">De 4 vereisten van RAID 5 die je moet kennen<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID 5-vereiste #1: Het juiste aantal schijven<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoeveel fysieke schijven zijn er nodig om RAID 5 te implementeren? Met een RAID 5-configuratie kun je drie tot zestien schijven aansluiten, maar vier is het meest gebruikelijke aantal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hoewel je voor RAID 5 minimaal drie schijven nodig hebt, kiezen de meeste gebruikers voor vier vanwege snelheid, fouttolerantie en opslagcapaciteit. Het klinkt misschien tegenstrijdig, maar hoe meer harde schijven je toevoegt aan de array, hoe trager de lees- en schrijfsnelheden worden. En hoe meer schijven je toevoegt, hoe ingewikkelder het wordt om gegevens te herstellen als er \u00e9\u00e9n uitvalt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tegelijkertijd geldt: hoe minder schijven er zijn aangesloten op de array, hoe meer opslagcapaciteit je verliest. Bijvoorbeeld, bij gebruik van drie harde schijven daalt de bruikbare opslagcapaciteit met 33\u202f%. Als je dus drie schijven van 1 TB (totaal 3 TB) in een RAID 5-configuratie aansluit, hou je maar 2 TB bruikbare opslag over.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Zelfs als je meer dan het minimum aantal schijven voor RAID 5 gebruikt, gaat er nog steeds opslagruimte verloren \u2014 alleen minder. RAID 5-configuraties verliezen altijd de opslagcapaciteit van \u00e9\u00e9n aangesloten schijf, ongeacht het totaal. De truc is dus om een goede balans te vinden tussen je opslagbehoeften, prestatieverwachtingen en risicobereidheid.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID 5-vereiste #2: De juiste opslagcapaciteit<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Een essentieel onderdeel bij het bepalen van het aantal schijven voor een RAID 5-configuratie is het overwegen van de totale opslagcapaciteit. In deze array maakt het niet uit of er drie of zestien schijven zijn aangesloten \u2013 ze moeten allemaal dezelfde opslagcapaciteit hebben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Waarom? Omdat als de aangesloten harde schijven niet dezelfde capaciteit hebben, ze functioneren alsof ze allemaal de capaciteit hebben van de kleinste schijf. Kostbare opslagruimte verspillen is echt een no-go en moet ten allen tijde worden vermeden!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID 5-vereiste #3: Een toegewijde hardwarecontroller<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sommige RAID-configuraties gebruiken software om hun systemen te beheren en te onderhouden. Andere maken gebruik van hardwareoplossingen om ervoor te zorgen dat alles correct functioneert. Voor RAID 5 wordt het sterk aanbevolen om een hardwarecontroller te gebruiken.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID 5-hardwarecontrollers zijn fysieke chips die worden toegevoegd aan het moederbord of als zelfstandige uitbreidingskaarten. Ze zijn nuttig omdat ze pariteitsgegevens kunnen berekenen voordat de gegevens over alle schijven worden geschreven. De controllers beheren de fysieke ruimte van elke schijf en optimaliseren de prestaties van de configuratie door een extra schijfcache toe te voegen.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID 5-vereiste #4: Fouttolerantie<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Voordat je een RAID-array instelt, moet je zeker rekening houden met fouttolerantie. RAID 5 biedt een redelijke fouttolerantie omdat het systeem is ontworpen om door te blijven werken, zelfs als \u00e9\u00e9n schijf uitvalt. En als je gegevens verliest, kun je die terughalen met behulp van de pariteitsinformatie op de andere schijven.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Het begrijpen van deze RAID 5\u2011vereiste is cruciaal, want in tegenstelling tot andere RAID\u2011configuraties kan een RAID 5\u2011systeem maar \u00e9\u00e9n schijfuitval verdragen. Als meerdere schijven tegelijk uitvallen, zijn de kansen op <a href=\"\/nl-nl\/data-recovery-services\/devices-supported\/raid-nas-san\/raid-data-recovery\/\" target=\"_self\">gegevensherstel<\/a> veel kleiner.
