Det er her v\u00e5re mest verdifulle minner og viktigste informasjon lagres. \u00c5 forst\u00e5 hvordan harddisker fungerer, er n\u00f8kkelen til \u00e5 vedlikeholde dem riktig for funksjonalitet og lang levetid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00c5 l\u00e6re hvordan en harddisk fungerer, er ingen liten oppgave. Flere komponenter, protokoller og programmer jobber hele tiden sammen for at du skal kunne lese og skrive data n\u00e5r du trenger det.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selv om det er utfordrende, kan det \u00e5 bli kjent med konsepter som AHCI vs. RAID og IDE vs. SATA bidra til \u00e5 opprettholde harddiskens toppytelse s\u00e5 lenge som mulig.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hva er SATA?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SATA st\u00e5r for \u201cSerial Advanced Technology Attachment\u201d (seriell avansert teknologi-tilkobling). SATA er m\u00e5ten en lagringsenhet, som en harddisk, kobles til hovedkortet p\u00e5. SATA-tilkoblinger overf\u00f8rer data ved hjelp av en seriekabel for \u00e5 danne en punkt-til-punkt-tilkobling mellom lagringsenheten og hovedkortet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Denne teknologien, utviklet i 2003, finnes i mange datamaskiner, b\u00e6rbare PC-er og servere. I de senere \u00e5rene har imidlertid noen produsenter forlatt SATA-teknologien til fordel for stasjoner med h\u00f8yere hastigheter. Likevel holder denne teknologien stand med solide overf\u00f8ringshastigheter og utmerket lagringskapasitet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hva er IDE?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IDE st\u00e5r for \u201cIntegrated Drive Electronics\u201d (integrert drivenhetselektronikk). IDE er en type PCI-enhet (Peripheral Component Interconnect) som brukes til \u00e5 overf\u00f8re data fra en lagringsenhet til SATA-kontrollerne. Denne teknologien, ogs\u00e5 kalt Parallel ATA, ble utviklet av Western Digital i 1986.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IDE var \u00e5 finne i mange datamaskiner p\u00e5 slutten av 1980-tallet og gjennom 1990-tallet, og er forgjengeren til SATA. IDE-er er kjent for sitt h\u00f8ye kompatibilitetsniv\u00e5. AHCI er en type PCI-enhet som brukes til \u00e5 flytte data fra en harddisk til SATA-kontrollerne. Denne lagringsteknologien fungerer ved \u00e5 kombinere lagringskapasiteten og datakraften til flere separate harddisker. I en RAID-konfigurasjon kan et hvilket som helst antall harddisker med samme lagringskapasitet kobles sammen for \u00e5 fungere som \u00e9n enhet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAID-teknologi gir utmerket databeskyttelse og robusthet, fordi den kan fortsette \u00e5 fungere selv om en disk i oppsettet svikter. Teoretisk sett kunne AHCI derfor transportere informasjon fra en RAID-oppsett til hovedkortet. Men disse komponentene konkurrerer ikke med hverandre, fordi de ikke fungerer p\u00e5 samme m\u00e5te.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IDE vs. SATA<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">B\u00e5de IDE og SATA gir en m\u00e5te for informasjon \u00e5 reise fra harddisken til hovedkortet. ATA brukes i IDE-konfigurasjoner, mens AHCI er informasjonstransportmodusen som brukes i SATA-konfigurasjoner.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AHCI vs. IDE<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Siden AHCI og IDE ikke har samme funksjon, kan vi ikke sammenligne dem direkte.
