En disk-selvtest (DST) er et praktisk verkt\u00f8y innebygd i de fleste PC-er og servere fra HP, Dell og andre merker, som sjekker den fysiske tilstanden til harddisken din. Husker du de irriterende kropps\u00f8vingstestene p\u00e5 videreg\u00e5ende? DST er harddiskens versjon av det.<\/p>\n

Men i motsetning til de irriterende kropps\u00f8vingstestene, er en DST en utmerket m\u00e5te \u00e5 vurdere harddisken din p\u00e5 og se hvordan ytelsen \u2013 god eller d\u00e5rlig \u2013 p\u00e5virker enhetens funksjon. Hva er en kort DST<\/span>?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Ved en <\/span>kort DST<\/b> testes kontrollkortet, motoren, platene, lese-\/skrivehodene og mer. Den kj\u00f8res vanligvis automatisk ved oppstart og gir bare en rask oversikt over harddisken din. Du legger antagelig ikke engang merke til at det skjer!<\/span><\/p>\n

Hva er en lang DST?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Lang DST gj\u00f8r alt en <\/span>kort DST<\/b> gj\u00f8r, men med tillegg av en fullstendig gjennomgang av dataene som er lagret p\u00e5 platene. Fordi testen er mer grundig, kan lang DST avdekke diskfeil og korrupsjon som kortversjonen ikke fanger opp. Ulempen? I motsetning til kort DST kan ikke enheten utf\u00f8re andre funksjoner mens testen kj\u00f8rer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enten det er en kort eller lang DST \u2013 hvis den best\u00e5r, betyr det at harddisken din er i god stand og b\u00f8r fungere p\u00e5litelig i overskuelig framtid. Dessverre er ikke alle DST\u2011tester vellykkede.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hva skjer hvis harddisken din ikke best\u00e5r en kort DST\u2011test?\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Akkurat som du kanskje ikke kjenner til DST\u2011tester, kan du ogs\u00e5 overse andre varselsignaler p\u00e5 harddiskproblemer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hvis din <\/span>HP\u2011harddisk <\/span>feiler en kort DST\u2011test<\/b>, vil du mest sannsynlig se feilmeldingen <\/span>\u201c<\/span>short DST <\/b>failed\u201d (kun p\u00e5 HP\u2011 og andre Windows\u2011enheter) n\u00e5r du starter opp. Meldingen inneholder ofte feilkoder som 0146, 0142 og 0141, som indikerer feil p\u00e5 viktige deler av harddisken.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1: Stop!<\/span><\/h3>\n

For the greatest chance at a positive outcome, you may want to reconsider attempting to fix the problem yourself. Engaging with your drive physically always increases the risk of losing data (situations like this are why we recommend you perform regular backups!). Step 2: Check your connections<\/span><\/h3>\n

Step 3: Update your driver\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

  3. When the pop-up window opens, click on the first option: Search automatically for updated driver software.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your computer should do the rest! But if this step doesn\u2019t work, you\u2019ll need to move on to Step 4.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Step 4: Restore a previous version of the drive<\/span><\/h3>\n
