L\u2019IDE \u00e8 un tipo di dispositivo PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) utilizzato per trasferire dati da un dispositivo di archiviazione ai controller SATA. Questa tecnologia, nota anche come Parallel ATA, \u00e8 stata sviluppata da Western Digital nel 1986.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L\u2019IDE \u00e8 stato presente in molti computer tra la fine degli anni \u201980 e gli anni \u201990 ed \u00e8 il predecessore del SATA. Gli IDE sono noti per il loro alto livello di compatibilit\u00e0. Questa tecnologia di archiviazione funziona combinando la capacit\u00e0 di archiviazione e la potenza di elaborazione di pi\u00f9 dischi rigidi separati. In una configurazione RAID, qualsiasi numero di dischi rigidi con la stessa capacit\u00e0 pu\u00f2 essere collegato per funzionare come un\u2019unica unit\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La tecnologia RAID offre un\u2019eccellente protezione dei dati e una grande resilienza, poich\u00e9 pu\u00f2 continuare a funzionare anche se un disco dell\u2019array si guasta. Una configurazione RAID pu\u00f2 essere implementata tramite hardware o software.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Come si confrontano questi sistemi?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gli infiniti acronimi e le sfumature della tecnologia dei dischi rigidi possono essere difficili da comprendere. L\u2019ATA \u00e8 utilizzato nelle configurazioni IDE, mentre l\u2019AHCI \u00e8 la modalit\u00e0 di trasferimento delle informazioni utilizzata nelle configurazioni SATA.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AHCI contro IDE<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poich\u00e9 l\u2019AHCI e l\u2019IDE non svolgono lo stesso ruolo, non possiamo confrontarli direttamente.
