Este dispositivo es un tipo de disco duro utilizado en la electr\u00f3nica de consumo popular. Desde 2007, la mayor\u00eda de las computadoras nuevas (Mac y PC, port\u00e1tiles y de escritorio) utilizan la interfaz SATA.
