Aun as\u00ed, necesita que sus discos ofrezcan una buena velocidad de lectura y escritura, adem\u00e1s de disponer de suficiente espacio de almacenamiento, \u00a1pero el costo de todo esto puede ser muy elevado! Dependiendo de lo que necesite, una opci\u00f3n podr\u00eda ser implementar un sistema RAID 5. Pero, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son los requisitos para utilizar RAID 5?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un RAID?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las soluciones de almacenamiento que utilizan una Matriz Redundante de Discos Independientes (RAID) son una excelente forma de maximizar el rendimiento de m\u00faltiples discos duros. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drivesaversdatarecovery.com\/es-mx\/raid-comparison\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Como mencionamos anteriormente<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, las configuraciones RAID aprovechan el poder del software <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">y<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> el hardware para que un grupo de discos duros trabajen en conjunto. El resultado es un sistema de almacenamiento de datos de alto rendimiento y bajo costo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Existen diversos tipos de configuraciones RAID, cada una con sus ventajas, desventajas y requisitos. En esta publicaci\u00f3n abordaremos la configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5, ya que es una opci\u00f3n popular y relativamente f\u00e1cil de implementar.  La configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5 ofrece tiempos de lectura extremadamente r\u00e1pidos, y si se produce un fallo en un disco de una matriz RAID 5, la recuperaci\u00f3n de datos es posible.  Esto se debe a que esta configuraci\u00f3n divide los datos en peque\u00f1as partes y distribuye esas partes entre los discos conectados. A la divisi\u00f3n y almacenamiento de los datos de esta forma se le llama paridad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por supuesto, hay algunas cosas que deber\u00eda saber antes de organizar sus discos duros en una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5. Cada matriz tiene condiciones espec\u00edficas para funcionar correctamente, y RAID 5 no es la excepci\u00f3n. Veamos qu\u00e9 es exactamente lo que debe saber antes de configurar su sistema de discos RAID 5.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los 4 requisitos que debe conocer para implementar RAID 5<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito #1: La cantidad correcta de discos<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos discos f\u00edsicos se necesitan para implementar una matriz RAID 5? Con una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5, puede conectar de entre tres y 16 discos, pero cuatro es el n\u00famero m\u00e1s com\u00fan de discos duros utilizados en esta matriz.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque el m\u00ednimo de discos para implementar RAID 5 es de tres, la mayor\u00eda de los usuarios optan por cuatro discos por razones de velocidad, tolerancia a fallos y capacidad de almacenamiento. Es un poco contraintuitivo, pero cuantos m\u00e1s discos duros se conecten a la matriz, m\u00e1s lentas ser\u00e1n las velocidades de lectura y escritura. Y, cuantos m\u00e1s discos se a\u00f1adan, m\u00e1s complicada ser\u00e1 la recuperaci\u00f3n de datos si falla uno de ellos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A la vez, cuantos menos discos se conecten a la matriz, m\u00e1s capacidad de almacenamiento se pierde. Por ejemplo, la capacidad de almacenamiento disminuye un 33% cuando se utilizan tres discos duros. Por lo tanto, si se conectan tres discos duros de 1 TB (para una capacidad total de 3 TB) en una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5, s\u00f3lo se tendr\u00e1n 2 TB de almacenamiento utilizable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tambi\u00e9n se pierde almacenamiento si no se utilizan los discos m\u00ednimos para RAID 5, pero la reducci\u00f3n no es tan significativa. Las configuraciones RAID 5 pierden la capacidad de almacenamiento de uno de los discos conectados, independientemente del n\u00famero de ellos. As\u00ed que el truco est\u00e1 en encontrar un equilibrio entre sus necesidades de almacenamiento, sus expectativas de rendimiento y su tolerancia al riesgo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito #2: La capacidad correcta de almacenamiento<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una parte esencial a la hora de determinar cu\u00e1ntos discos utilizar para una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5 es tener en cuenta la capacidad de almacenamiento total que se necesite. Con esta matriz, no importa si hay tres o 16 discos duros conectados, todos deben tener la misma capacidad de almacenamiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9? Porque si los discos duros conectados no tienen exactamente el mismo espacio de almacenamiento, funcionar\u00e1n como si tuvieran la capacidad del disco de menor capacidad que est\u00e9 conectado. \u00a1El desperdicio de espacio de almacenamiento es un gran error y debe evitarse a toda costa!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito #3: Un controlador de hardware dedicado<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Algunas configuraciones RAID se basan en software para gestionar y mantener sus sistemas. Otras utilizan soluciones basadas en hardware para garantizar su correcto funcionamiento. En el caso de RAID 5, el uso de un controlador de hardware es altamente recomendable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los controladores de hardware RAID 5 son chips f\u00edsicos a\u00f1adidos a la placa base o tarjetas de expansi\u00f3n independientes. Son \u00fatiles porque pueden calcular los datos de paridad antes de escribir los datos en todos los discos. Los controladores de hardware gestionan el espacio f\u00edsico de cada disco y optimizan el rendimiento de la configuraci\u00f3n proporcionando memoria cach\u00e9 de disco adicional.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito  #4: Tolerancia a fallos<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Antes de configurar una matriz RAID, hay que tener en cuenta la tolerancia a fallos. En realidad, RAID 5 tiene una tolerancia a fallos decente porque el sistema est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para funcionar incluso cuando un disco est\u00e1 averiado. Adem\u00e1s, en caso de que se pierdan datos como consecuencia de ello, se puede reconstruir la informaci\u00f3n perdida utilizando los datos de otros discos en la paridad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Comprender este requisito de RAID\u202f5 es fundamental porque, a diferencia de otras configuraciones RAID, un sistema RAID\u202f5 solo puede tolerar la p\u00e9rdida de una unidad. Si varias unidades fallan simult\u00e1neamente, las posibilidades de <a href=\"\/es-mx\/servicios-de-recuperacion-de-datos\/dispositivos-compatibles\/raid-nas-san\/recuperacion-de-datos-raid\/\" target=\"_self\">recuperaci\u00f3n de datos<\/a> son mucho menores.
