La RAM, cuyas siglas significan Memoria de Acceso Aleatorio, es extremadamente r\u00e1pida. Cuanta m\u00e1s RAM tenga el sistema, mayor ser\u00e1 su velocidad de respuesta. Como su nombre lo indica, este tipo de memoria primaria \u00fanicamente permite la lectura de datos, no su escritura. La ROM es una forma r\u00e1pida de memoria no vol\u00e1til, lo que significa que la informaci\u00f3n almacenada en ella es permanente y se conserva incluso cuando la computadora es apagada. Esta modificaci\u00f3n se logra aplicando un voltaje el\u00e9ctrico superior al normal, lo que permite escribir y borrar datos m\u00faltiples veces.
