California, pueden llegar hasta 1,800 \u00b0F o incluso 3,000 \u00b0F con el tiempo. Este rango de temperaturas hace que los incendios forestales sean mucho m\u00e1s da\u00f1inos que los incendios dom\u00e9sticos comunes.<\/p>\n<p>Otro factor es el calor directo frente al calor irradiado. En cambio, la mayor\u00eda de las casas y negocios afectados por estos incendios forestales masivos han ardido continuamente durante doce horas o m\u00e1s, hasta quedarse sin combustible para las llamas. El tiempo que un dispositivo de almacenamiento de datos permanece expuesto al fuego es crucial.<\/p>\n<p>Una de las razones por las que el tiempo importa es porque, entre m\u00e1s tiempo arde un fuego, m\u00e1s calor genera. Dependiendo de los materiales que lo alimentan, la temperatura dentro del fuego puede superar los 2,200 \u00b0F en tan solo cuatro horas. Si la carcasa del SSD est\u00e1 comprometida, a\u00fan puede haber una buena posibilidad de recuperar los datos.<\/p>\n<h3>Platos<\/h3>\n<p>Dentro de un disco duro hay platos que se parecen a espejos redondos montados sobre un eje. La carcasa exterior, los chips de control, los chips de memoria (en un SSD), los conectores, los circuitos y varios otros componentes est\u00e1n generalmente compuestos de distintos tipos de metal:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exterior: generalmente de aluminio<\/li>\n<li>Chips de memoria o NAND: generalmente de silicio<\/li>\n<li>Circuitos: generalmente de silicio<\/li>\n<li>Otros componentes pueden estar compuestos de plomo, cobre, oro o esta\u00f1o.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>El silicio, en particular, es muy resistente al calor y puede soportar temperaturas de hasta 1,370 \u00b0C. Es importante se\u00f1alar que, incluso a temperaturas m\u00e1s bajas, la durabilidad del silicio y de la mayor\u00eda de los metales disminuye si la exposici\u00f3n al calor o al fuego se prolonga.
