Las copias de seguridad de Nakivo fueron eliminadas, mientras que los datos de las m\u00e1quinas virtuales del volumen quedaron cifrados.<\/p>\n<p>El equipo de TI del cliente ejecut\u00f3 utilidades de recuperaci\u00f3n en el volumen durante varios d\u00edas sin \u00e9xito. Tambi\u00e9n copiaron 15 TB de datos de producci\u00f3n en el mismo almacenamiento que hab\u00edan ocupado las copias de seguridad eliminadas. Ese proceso sobrescribi\u00f3 partes de los datos de copia de seguridad eliminados.<\/p>\n<p>DriveSavers realiz\u00f3 una imagen de las unidades y reconstruy\u00f3 manualmente la informaci\u00f3n de mapeo BTRFS que faltaba para acceder a los datos de copia de seguridad que el volumen ya hab\u00eda liberado. La recuperaci\u00f3n en el servidor de base de datos prioritario alcanz\u00f3 el 99,4 % solo a partir del repositorio de copias de seguridad. Una copia de seguridad con aislamiento f\u00edsico (air gapping) est\u00e1 aislada de la red, ya sea f\u00edsicamente al retirar la unidad o desconectar los puertos, o digitalmente al bloquear el tr\u00e1fico de red hacia ella. Una copia de seguridad inmutable no puede modificarse ni eliminarse hasta que expire su per\u00edodo de retenci\u00f3n, pero la inmutabilidad no exige que est\u00e9 fuera de l\u00ednea; puede permanecer accesible a trav\u00e9s de la red.<\/p>\n<p>Veeam identifica claramente el punto d\u00e9bil de cada enfoque. La log\u00edstica f\u00edsica ralentiza la recuperaci\u00f3n a partir de un aislamiento f\u00edsico (air gap). Las copias de seguridad inmutables, por su parte, permanecen accesibles a trav\u00e9s de la red, lo que representa un riesgo cuando los controles que las rodean son d\u00e9biles.<\/p>\n<p>La inmutabilidad impide que una copia de seguridad sea alterada. El aislamiento f\u00edsico impide que se pueda alcanzar. En algunos sistemas, los usuarios con privilegios suficientes pueden anular la protecci\u00f3n; en otros, ning\u00fan usuario puede eliminarla hasta que expire el per\u00edodo de retenci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Pregunte a continuaci\u00f3n d\u00f3nde se aplica la protecci\u00f3n de escritura \u00fanica. La inmutabilidad implementada por la aplicaci\u00f3n de copia de seguridad depende de que dicha aplicaci\u00f3n siga siendo confiable.
