Seg\u00fan tus necesidades, la respuesta podr\u00eda ser un RAID 5. Pero, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son los requisitos para RAID 5?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 es un RAID?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Las soluciones de almacenamiento que usan una Matriz Redundante de Discos Independientes (RAID) son una excelente forma de maximizar el rendimiento de varios discos duros. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drivesaversdatarecovery.com\/es-es\/raid-comparison\/\" target=\"_self\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Como hemos comentado anteriormente<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, las configuraciones RAID aprovechan el poder del software <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">y<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> el hardware para que varios discos trabajen juntos. El resultado es un sistema de almacenamiento de datos econ\u00f3mico y de alto rendimiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Las distintas configuraciones RAID tienen sus propias ventajas, desventajas y requisitos. Hoy vamos a hablar del RAID 5, ya que es una opci\u00f3n muy popular y bastante sencilla de implementar. RAID 5 ofrece velocidades de lectura extremadamente r\u00e1pidas, y si uno de los discos falla, es posible recuperar los datos. Esto es gracias a que los datos se dividen en peque\u00f1as partes y se distribuyen entre los discos conectados. Esta t\u00e9cnica se conoce como paridad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Por supuesto, hay ciertas cosas que debes saber antes de organizar tus discos duros en una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5. Cada arreglo tiene condiciones espec\u00edficas para funcionar correctamente, y RAID 5 no es una excepci\u00f3n. \u00bfQu\u00e9 necesitas saber antes de configurar tu RAID 5?<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los 4 requisitos de RAID 5 que debes conocer<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito de RAID 5 n\u00ba 1: La cantidad adecuada de discos<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos discos f\u00edsicos se necesitan para implementar RAID 5? En una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5 se pueden conectar entre tres y diecis\u00e9is discos, pero lo m\u00e1s habitual es utilizar cuatro discos duros.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aunque el n\u00famero m\u00ednimo de discos para un RAID 5 es tres, la mayor\u00eda de los usuarios opta por usar cuatro por la velocidad, la tolerancia a fallos y la capacidad de almacenamiento. Puede parecer contraintuitivo, pero cuantos m\u00e1s discos se conecten al arreglo, m\u00e1s lentas ser\u00e1n las velocidades de lectura y escritura. Adem\u00e1s, cuantas m\u00e1s unidades se agreguen, m\u00e1s complicado ser\u00e1 recuperar los datos si uno falla.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Al mismo tiempo, cuantos menos discos se conecten a la matriz, m\u00e1s capacidad de almacenamiento se pierde. Por ejemplo, al usar tres discos duros, la capacidad disponible se reduce en un 33\u202f%. As\u00ed que si conectas tres discos de 1 TB (3 TB en total) en una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5, solo tendr\u00e1s 2 TB de almacenamiento \u00fatil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Todav\u00eda hay p\u00e9rdida de almacenamiento aunque uses m\u00e1s discos que el m\u00ednimo necesario para RAID 5, pero la reducci\u00f3n no es tan significativa. Las configuraciones RAID 5 pierden siempre la capacidad de uno de los discos conectados, sin importar cu\u00e1ntos sean. El truco est\u00e1 en encontrar el equilibrio entre tus necesidades de almacenamiento, rendimiento esperado y tolerancia al riesgo.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito de RAID 5 n\u00ba 2: La capacidad de almacenamiento adecuada<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Una parte esencial para determinar cu\u00e1ntos discos utilizar en una configuraci\u00f3n RAID 5 es considerar la capacidad total de almacenamiento. En este tipo de matriz, no importa si hay tres o diecis\u00e9is discos duros conectados: todos deben tener la misma capacidad de almacenamiento.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bfPor qu\u00e9? Porque si los discos duros conectados no tienen la misma capacidad, funcionar\u00e1n como si todos tuvieran la capacidad del disco m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o. \u00a1Desperdiciar espacio de almacenamiento valioso es un gran \u201cno\u201d y debe evitarse a toda costa!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito de RAID 5 n\u00ba 3: Un controlador de hardware dedicado<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Algunas configuraciones RAID dependen de software para gestionar y mantener sus sistemas. Otras usan soluciones basadas en hardware para garantizar un funcionamiento correcto. En el caso de RAID 5, se recomienda encarecidamente utilizar un controlador de hardware.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los controladores de hardware RAID 5 son chips f\u00edsicos que se integran en la placa base o se presentan como tarjetas de expansi\u00f3n independientes. Son \u00fatiles porque calculan los datos de paridad antes de escribir en todos los discos. Estos controladores gestionan el espacio f\u00edsico de cada disco y optimizan el rendimiento de la configuraci\u00f3n mediante una memoria cach\u00e9 adicional.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Requisito de RAID 5 n\u00ba 4: Tolerancia a fallos<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Es fundamental considerar la tolerancia a fallos antes de configurar tu matriz RAID. RAID 5 ofrece una buena tolerancia porque el sistema est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para seguir funcionando incluso si un disco falla. Y si se pierden datos, puedes reconstruir la informaci\u00f3n perdida con los datos de los dem\u00e1s discos usando la paridad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Entender este requisito de RAID 5 es fundamental porque, a diferencia de otras configuraciones RAID, un sistema RAID 5 s\u00f3lo puede tolerar la p\u00e9rdida de una unidad. Si varias unidades fallan simult\u00e1neamente, las posibilidades de <a href=\"\/es-es\/data-recovery-services\/devices-supported\/raid-nas-san\/raid-data-recovery\/\" target=\"_self\">recuperaci\u00f3n de datos<\/a> son mucho menores.
