Sin memoria, tu ordenador estar\u00eda perdido y confundido \u2014 no sabr\u00eda d\u00f3nde almacenar ni d\u00f3nde encontrar la informaci\u00f3n que necesita para hacer su trabajo. Cuando los ni\u00f1os llegan, llenan sus casilleros con chaquetas, mochilas y meriendas \u2014 todo lo que necesitan durante el d\u00eda. Esta es la memoria secundaria del ordenador. Debido a esta proximidad, el procesador puede leer la memoria principal r\u00e1pidamente. La RAM, que significa Memoria de Acceso Aleatorio (Random Access Memory), es extremadamente r\u00e1pida. Cuanta m\u00e1s RAM tengas, m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido funcionar\u00e1 tu sistema. La RAM es memoria vol\u00e1til, lo que significa que toda la informaci\u00f3n almacenada en ella se borra en cuanto el ordenador pierde energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n<h4>Existen dos tipos de memoria RAM:<\/h4>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"vc_empty_space\"   style=\"height: 32px\"><span class=\"vc_empty_space_inner\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-6\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>DRAM:<\/strong> Este tipo de memoria RAM se llama memoria din\u00e1mica (DRAM) y es la m\u00e1s com\u00fan en los ordenadores. Como su nombre indica, este tipo de memoria solo permite la lectura de datos, no su escritura. La ROM es una forma r\u00e1pida de memoria no vol\u00e1til, lo que significa que los datos almacenados en ella son permanentes y se conservan incluso cuando el ordenador se apaga. Esto se debe a que la ROM no depende de la corriente el\u00e9ctrica para guardar los datos, sino que los graba en celdas individuales mediante c\u00f3digo binario.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>La ROM se utiliza con frecuencia para almacenar archivos permanentes como la BIOS y el sistema operativo, junto con las instrucciones necesarias para iniciar el sistema, conocidas como el proceso de arranque (bootstrap). Tambi\u00e9n se emplea en sistemas embebidos que se encuentran en electrodom\u00e9sticos, dispositivos m\u00e9dicos y electr\u00f3nica del autom\u00f3vil, donde se requiere software fiable. Aunque la ROM es una memoria no vol\u00e1til, se considera memoria principal porque el procesador accede a ella directamente.<\/p>\n<h4>Existen varios tipos de ROM:<\/h4>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<div class=\"vcex-spacing wpex-w-100 wpex-clear\" style=\"height:20px;\"><\/div><div class=\"vc_row wpb_row vc_inner vc_row-fluid wpex-relative\"><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-4\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>EEPROM:<\/strong> La Memoria de Solo Lectura Programable y Borrable El\u00e9ctricamente (EEPROM) es un tipo de memoria no vol\u00e1til que puede ser modificada por el usuario. Esta modificaci\u00f3n se realiza aplicando un voltaje el\u00e9ctrico superior al normal, lo que permite escribir y borrar datos m\u00faltiples veces. La escritura en la EEPROM suele hacerse un byte a la vez.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-4\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>EPROM:<\/strong> La Memoria de Solo Lectura Programable y Borrable (EPROM) es un tipo de ROM que puede programarse, borrarse y reprogramarse m\u00faltiples veces. Esto se consigue exponiendo el chip a luz ultravioleta a trav\u00e9s de una ventana en el encapsulado para borrar la memoria.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container vc_col-sm-4\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>PROM:<\/strong> La Memoria de Solo Lectura Programable (PROM) viene vac\u00eda y se programa posteriormente con un programador o grabador PROM.
