NOVATO, Calif. September 18, 2017) DriveSavers, the worldwide leader in data recovery, eDiscovery and digital forensic solutions, today announced that the company’s offer of free data recovery for Texas residents who were impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the resulting flooding is being extended another week.
“We understand that many people are just returning to their homes after this horrible disaster,” said Scott Moyer, president of DriveSavers. “We want to give them a chance to find their devices and get them to us so we can get their data back. It just feels like the right thing to do.”
Since the flooding began on August 25, DriveSavers has already extended over $600,000 in free data recovery efforts on water-damaged hard drives, smartphones, laptops and other data storage devices.
The free recovery service is available now for victims of both Hurricanes Harvey and Irma with water-damaged devices. Because exposure to water and air cause corrosion on electronic circuitry, customers must contact DriveSavers no later than September 22 for Harvey victims and September 30 for Irma victims. There is a limit of one device per business or household. Customers needing additional recoveries, and those with multi-disk devices such as RAID, NAS and SAN devices, are eligible for a 50 percent discount off the regular service fees.
DriveSavers will accept as many devices that it can. However, it may limit the number of free recoveries based on workload, cost of parts and availability of personnel.
Those who require data recovery should call DriveSavers immediately at 800.440.1904 or visit drivesaversdatarecovery.com. Advisors are available 24/7.
