DriveSavers Offers Free Data Recovery Of Flood-Drenched Devices To Residents Of Louisiana

The Industry-leader in data recovery is providing its services free of charge

(NOVATO, Calif. August 31, 2016) DriveSavers, the worldwide leader in data recovery, eDiscovery and digital forensic solutions, today announced it will provide free data recovery services to any Louisiana resident who has lost data as a result of the devastating floods in the Baton Rouge area. The company is donating its time, resources and expertise to retrieve data from waterlogged hard drives, smartphones and other data storage devices.

“DriveSavers is known worldwide for recovering data from severely traumatized devices including those that have been dropped, burnt, crushed and fully submerged in water,” said Scott Moyer, president of DriveSavers. “In the wake of the worst U.S. natural disaster since Hurricane Sandy, we’re pleased we can offer our expertise and years of experience in data recovery to help the residents of Louisiana bring their digital lives back together.”

The free recovery service is available now for flood victims with water-damaged hard drives, smartphones and tablets. Because exposure to water and air cause corrosion on electronic circuitry, customers must contact DriveSavers and ship their device no later than September 10th. There is a limit of one device per business or household. Customers needing additional recoveries, and those with multi-disk devices such as RAID, NAS and SAN devices, are eligible for a 50 percent discount off the regular service fees.

DriveSavers will accept as many flood-damaged devices that it can. However, it may limit the number of free recoveries based on the company’s workload, cost of parts and availability of personnel.

For over 30 years, DriveSavers has led the data recovery industry, retrieving vital data from every type of storage device. The company has a proven track record of overcoming physical damage to devices caused by flooding, fire, mechanical damage, routine drive failures, malware and more. Their broad range of customers includes home users, small businesses, Fortune 500 companies, government and creative professionals.

Those who require data recovery should call DriveSavers immediately at 800.440.1904.
